About us

Dr. Harlon Mathews, Jr., the owner and veterinarian, is widely known as one of the most gentle, compassionate veterinarians in the Laurel-Jones County area. He is beloved by his patients and their owners alike. Dr. Mathews graduated from Mississippi State University with B.S. in Dairy Science Production and went on to complete his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1988. He resides in Laurel, Mississippi with his wife, Laura, two adult daughters, Amanda Mathews and Alise Reed. In his free time, Dr. Mathews enjoys music, movies, and swimming.
